Wooden Faith Wooden Work
There’s an old joke that goes:
"What would happen if you have a wooden car, with wooden wheels, wooden doors, and a wooden engine?"
"It wooden run"
(you can start laughing now…)
In the book of Ephesians, the apostle Paul tells us to "take up the shield of faith to extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one." (Eph. 6: 16)
However, if the shield is made of wood, it will become a fuel for the flames rather than an extinguisher. I guess it’s time to upgrade my shield by asking for a new one from the Master Blacksmith.

Actually, the Greek hoplites used wooden bucklers with their bronze tipped spears - but was phased out when bronze works technology improved, ah well.
